| Remote control does not work. | Remote control battery is flat. |
Check the LED light on the remote. Replace the battery if necessary. |
| Remote control is not paired correctly. | Pair the remotes to the control board. | |
| An incorrect remote control is being used. | Only Richmond genuine remotes will work with this system. | |
| Issues with loss of power. | ||

The gate will not move at all. No lights on the PC board |
Power is turned off or disconnected. | Check the power point is turned on. |
| Fuse has blown. | Unplug the motor and check the fuse. | |
| PC board has suffered damage. | Do a visual check for any damage or ‘burnt’ smell coming from the PC board. | |
| Issues with movement, or loss of movement. | ||

Gate will open correctly, but will not close at all. |
Motor force settings need adjustment | Increase the stall force dial (VR3) to maximum. |
| Spring switch is damaged or not contacting correctly. |
Check the spring switch is contacting the travel plate correctly. Check the LED’s for position information. |

| Photocell terminal wiring is incorrect. | Check the photocell terminal has the jumper pin still in place. | |
| Photocell is fitted and has detected an obstruction. | Check for physical obstructions, dirty lens or photocell alignment. | |

Gate will open and close, but moves slowly. |
Gate is ‘learning’ it’s open and close position after power outage or manual operation. | Turn the power off for 30 seconds, then operate the gate 3 – 4 times. |
| The spring switch is sticking or not contacting the travel plate correctly. | Check the alignment of your motor and travel plates. The spring switch may be missing the plate or bending too far. | |

Gate will open and close, but stops or reverses part way. |
An obstruction has been detected. |
Check for any physical impact. Check all moving parts for binding/sticking. |
